Welcome!

Welcome to the new and improved home of the Brandywine Festival of the Arts! We hope you like our fresh, modern look; we think it better illustrates the cool, fun vibe of the festival. Don’t you?

Last year’s festival was a huge success! There was a hefty turnout, a vast variety of some of the best artists in the Delaware Valley (and beyond), and we saw thousands of people leave our snow-fenced gates with treasures and artifacts that are sure to adorn their homes for years to come. We’d like to thank our volunteers and staff again for their dedication, hard work, and tolerance of heat and moisture to deliver a festival that ran like a well-oiled machine. Our artists appreciated the support, and the festival goers had nothing but compliments!

The committee is now hard at work planning and executing logistics for this year’s festival. Memorial Day may have just passed, but Labor Day is right around the corner…and the BFA (and removal of white shoes) soon after! During that time we’ll be organizing with our Friends of Wilmington Parks buddies, hunting down musicians for the Music Meadow, taste testing all sorts of fried and sugar-coated comestibles from potential food vendors, and visiting art shows to recruit more of the area’s best artists. (Thankfully, many of our favorites made our jobs easy and are returning again this year!) If you or someone you know is interested in applying…what are you waiting for? Here is your formal invitation: get on it to get in it!

The BFA will be held on September 10th and 11th. On Saturday the 10th the show will run from 9am until 6pm while the Sunday show will run from 9am until 4pm. Save the date!
